Riverdale | Riverdale is a teen drama, mystery series that is based around the characters from the Archie Comics. I wasn't sure if this would be a good series before watching it, but it has quickly become my #1 TV show at the moment. (Jughead + Betty!)

Gossip Girl | Gossip Girl revolves around the lives of a group of teenagers that live on the Upper East Side of NYC. There's major drama, love triangles, and amazing clothes! If you haven't seen GG yet, you absolutely need to start watching asap! (Chuck + Blair!)

Gilmore Girls | Gilmore Girls is the story of a mother and daughter duo living in a small Connecticut town. This show was incredibly well done and relatable. I'm so on Team Jess, by the way! I also recommend watching the Year in the Life after you've finished the original!

Hart of Dixie | This show is about a NYC doctor that has to relocate to a small town in Alabama and she has a super hard time fitting in. 

The Crown | The Crown is about the early life of Queen Elizabeth II, including the beginning of her reign as Queen of England! Sometimes period pieces like this can be a little slow or boring, but this one was very well done!

Master of None | Master of None is a comedy-drama series created by and starring Aziz Ansari. The show follows his character, Dev, through his life in NYC. This show tackles a lot of topics that usually aren't talked about on other shows and they do an amazing job depicting these characters. This show is rated TV-MA so proceed with caution!

Shameless | Shameless follows the story of a family living on the South Side of Chicago. Their mother left and their father is a drug addict and alcoholic. The family is being raised by their oldest sister and struggling to get by. This is a really well done comedy-drama series! This show is rated TV-MA so proceed with caution!

13 Reasons Why | 13 Reasons Why is about a teenage girl that has taken her own life and the reasons that led her to suicide. This is a controversial show about a really serious topic. I put off watching this show for a long time because I just wasn't sure. I do think it is a really good show that brings light to teenage bullying and depression.

Hater's Back Off | This is a show based on the YouTube character Miranda Sings. The show is hilarious! I never really got into watching Miranda on YouTube but I really enjoyed watching this show. It's a great quirky comedy! This show was recently cancelled but the 2 seasons that are out are still worth a watch.

The Good Place | This is a really funny show about a girl who ends up in Heaven on accident. There was a mix-up and she was actually supposed to end up in Hell. There's also a crazy twist at the end of season 1 that you will not see coming!

Mindhunter | I typically don't like crime and cop type shows but I decided to watch this because I'm a big Jonathan Groff fan! This show is about the FBI detective that studied serial killers in the '70s. It starts off pretty slow but it picks up after a few episodes and really draws you into the story.

Stranger Things | I put off watching this show for over a year because I hate scary shows and movies so much. I decided to give it a chance when season 2 was released and I can't believe I waited so long! I didn't find this show scary at all (and I'm a huge baby!). The story and acting is absolutely incredible. If you also don't like horror, give this show a chance anyway!

Freaks and Geeks | This is an old show from the '90s and there is only one season (unfortunately) but this is an amazing show that I really recommend. I loved this show pre-Netflix and I'm super happy that it's on here.

Everything Sucks! | This is a brand new Netflix series set in the mid '90s. It's about a group of kids that are in the AV Club and Drama Club. It's really cute, full of '90s nostalgia, and has a great soundtrack! I need season 2 ASAP!

Movies

Yves Saint Laurent | This is a French film about the life of fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent as he begins his career in fashion and builds his own fashion house during the 1950s and 1960s.

Breakfast at Tiffany's | This is a classic Audrey Hepburn film and it's so great that it is on Netflix now! If you haven't seen it before, you need to go watch it now!

Moana | This is by far one of the best Disney animated movies that has been put out in a while. The animation is breathtaking and I love how the main character is such a strong female role model!

A Cinderella Story | Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray, do I really need to say more? This is kind of a typical Cinderella-style teen movie, but it is super funny and cute.

Bring It On | This movie is iconic and you need to watch it regardless of if you have seen it before! They filmed part of this movie in my hometown so maybe I'm biased but I love this movie!

Naomi and Ely's No Kiss List | Naomi and Ely have been best friends their whole lives and they have created a list of people that neither of them are allowed to kiss so that no boys will ruin their friendship. I didn't think that I'd like this but it is a really cute movie.

Beauty and the Beast | The newest live action version of this movie just hit Netflix. If you haven't seen it yet, it is a really beautiful remake! I actually saw this in theaters FOUR times!

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story | I have always loved Star Wars. I really enjoy fantasy movies (and books) that have a really flushed out world and storyline and Star Wars fits that so well!

When We First Met | This is a really cute movie about a guy that is in love with his best friend. He thinks he messed up the night they met that caused them to be friends and not together. He finds a way to go back in time to fix that night. It's a little cheesy but really sweet and I enjoyed watching it!

Happy Anniversary | This movie is about a couple on their 3 year anniversary. I think it really shows the good and bad parts of relationships and how complicated they can be. I really liked it!

The Kissing Booth | This is a Netflix Original movie about a girl and boy who have been best friends since childhood. They have to run a booth at the school's fall carnival and they choose to run a kissing booth. This is a super cute movie!

Ibiza | This is a Netflix Original movie about a girl who works in PR and is sent on a business trip to Spain. Two of her friends decide to come along and they end up on a crazy adventure!

Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist | This is a movie about a group of teens in NYC for an evening, where they are trying to find a secret rock show. This is one of my all time favorite movies and the soundtrack is amazing!
