Southern California's wine country is located in the Temecula Valley, which is about an hour northeast of San Diego, an hour inland from Orange County, and an hour and a half southeast of Los Angeles. It is a perfect getaway from anywhere in Southern California. Temecula Valley Wine Country is home to over 30 amazing wineries and vineyards. One of the most popular of those wineries is Wilson Creek Winery and Vineyard, which is known for its Almond Sparkling Wine. I recently spent a Sunday afternoon there with my mom for a late Mother's Day treat and had a wonderful experience that I'd love to share.

We came to Wilson Creek Winery to experience their Sunday Bubble Brunch Buffet at their restaurant, Creekside Grille. The restaurant is open all week, but is open for only brunch on Sundays from 10 AM to 3 PM. The Bubble Brunch Buffet is currently $43.95 per person or $53.95 per person with unlimited sparkling wine.

The Bubble Brunch has 3 sections of food options with many breakfast and lunch favorites. The seating is mostly outdoors but it is all shaded from the hot inland sun. I found the experience to be perfect - I'm very picky about service, especially when paying a premium. Our server was friendly and attentive without being annoying. Our drinks were always full and our plates were cleaned off our table often.

Whenever I go to a brunch buffet, I always start with breakfast foods and then move to lunch foods. I started off at the omelet station and rounded out my plate with a few pieces of bacon and some roasted potatoes. I loved that there were two separate omelet stations so the lines never got too long and you had the choice between regular eggs or egg whites. For my second plate I tried their waffles (a little soggy) and fried chicken (nice and crispy!). I then moved onto lunch, where I filled up my plate with small portions of a bunch of their lunch offerings. I tried the kale salad, macaroni and cheese, salmon, oysters, shrimp, and yellow curry lamb. I think my favorites were the kale salad and yellow curry lamb! They also had great sections with breads and fruits. I was really impressed with the dessert table, which had tons of different small desserts, cake pops, a chocolate fountain, and macarons.

There is a 2 hour limit for the brunch. We spend about an hour and a half, which was a perfect amount of time for us and we never felt rushed. After brunch, we decided to walk around the grounds a little bit and ended up sitting in the courtyard to enjoy some live music for a while. It was a perfect warm, sunny Southern California day with a nice cool breeze, which made it so enjoyable to sit outside for a while. Before we left for the afternoon, we walked into a part of the vineyard that is open to the public, which was really fun!

I had a wonderful afternoon at Wilson Creek and I can't wait to visit again. If you've been to Temecula, what is your favorite winery?
