Reflecting on this previous year is not the easiest task. This year has been a major rollercoaster rides with way too many dips to count and I'm glad to see it over. Despite all of the challenges that I've been thrown this year, I'm grateful for the learning experiences and the chance to grow as a person.

What I Want for Christmas

They provide me with a small commission that helps keep Classy in California going!

My family isn't really big on gift giving, except for the younger kids. Since the adults in my family don't really exchange gifts, I typically don't come up with a very big Christmas list. I usually exchange gifts with my mom so this is the list I'll be giving to her! For Christmas this year, I am taking her to see Hamilton at the Pantages Theatre in LA!

1. I love this scarf from Target! I love the look of Burberry scarves but I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a scarf when I live in California. It just does not get cold enough here to justify an expensive scarf! This one from Target looks so similar to Burberry but it's only $20!

2. I have been seeing Superga sneakers all over for a while now and I think they are really cute. I'm not a big sneaker girl but I think I could easily incorporate these into my wardrobe! I really want the all white ones or the navy and white ones!

3. I love tortoise sunglasses! I have been wanting these ones from Karen Walker for years. I have a different pair of Karen Walker sunglasses and they are such great quality! I have retired that pair and they're listed on my Poshmark. I've replaced them with a pair from Quay but I think I need a new Karen Walker pair too!

4. I got a sample of this Caudalie serum from Sephora in October and I am obsessed with it! I've never used a serum before this so I didn't know what I was missing. My skin feels so soft and nice after using it. I still have a little of my sample left but I want a replacement before I run out!

5. This is definitely a reach gift that I am not expecting to actually get but I have been wanting to get a cute chair to put into a corner of my room for a while. I have been searching for a long time for what I want and I love this chair from Serena and Lily!

6. My daily perfume of choice is Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel and I love pretty much all of the other Chanel fragrances too! Honestly, they can do no wrong in my opinion. Chanel just came out with a new fragrance called Gabrielle and I really want to try it out!

What is something from your Christmas list?

The Classy Girl's Guide to Netflix - Updated Regularly!

Wednesday, October 25, 2017

It seems like everyone is always looking for new Netflix recommendations so I put together a list of my must watch shows and movies. I typically see the same shows on lists like these so I'll try my hardest to keep this list full of more unique suggestions! Check back regularly for new additions to the list!

30 Before 30

Sunday, October 22, 2017

My 29th birthday (WHAT?!) was at the beginning of the month and honestly, the thought of turning 30 next year is terrifying. I really do not feel like I'm that old at all so it is really bizarre to think about. I have seen people do posts like this in the past for the year before a milestone birthday and I thought it would be a good idea to make a list of 30 things that I would like to do before the big 3-0!

Life Lately

Friday, July 7, 2017

I know this is so cliche but I can't believe it is already July! Seriously, this year is flying by so fast and I'm not ready! It needs to slow down ASAP. June was a crazy month overall and it had a lot of ups and downs.

The best part of June was spending a weekend in LA. I don't live that far from LA, about 1.5 hours (depending on traffic), but I really don't get there too often. I'm just not a fan of the crazy traffic. At the beginning of the month, I braved that traffic to head to LA to see Darren Criss in his new band Computer Games. If you haven't heard their music, I really recommend it. The concert was absolutely amazing and you just might be able to spot me in their next music video! Other than the concert, I explored a little around Melrose Pl/Ave and Rodeo Drive before heading back home. It was a great time! I finally got to check out Alfred Tea Room and try their pink drink, browse the Serena and Lily showroom, and have lunch at the new Ladurée in Beverly Hills.

Home Decor | Coastal Art Prints

Monday, July 3, 2017

I am still on the search for a few more perfect art prints for my bedroom. While I love photography and home decor, I also like trying to find amazing pieces at good prices. A lot of art prints are so expensive, especially when you also get them framed. I have found some amazing prints at Society6 and the prices for framed prints are really reasonable! I have come across some great pieces on Society6 during my search and I thought that I would share some of them. If you love nautical and coastal home decor, you will love these prints!

* Society6 is running an amazing 4th of July sale today and tomorrow - 20% off and free shipping!

The first print that I want to share is of some navy and white beach umbrellas and palm trees. I love how pretty several beach umbrellas look, especially when they all match. This is actually a print that I have already purchased for above my dresser and I'm still obsessed with it. You can see it here.

A Day in my Life | Solo Disneyland Day

Tuesday, May 23, 2017

Sometimes life gets stressful and you just need to take a mental health day. This is how I was feeling last week. Graduate school has been keeping me stressed beyond belief and I needed to blow off some steam. The place that always works wonders for me is Disneyland. Unfortunately, I didn't have anybody available to go with. I decided to just head to Disneyland solo for the first time. Let me tell you, it was a blast!

Travel Guide | San Diego

Wednesday, May 10, 2017

San Diego is such an amazing place to visit or call home. I grew up just outside San Diego and still live close enough to visit frequently. There is always something fun to do or somewhere amazing to eat. You can't beat the perfect weather and gorgeous views either! I've compiled a small list of my  current favorite places in San Diego, including where to stay, where to eat, and things to do. I hope you enjoy!

Mother's Day Gift Guide

Friday, April 28, 2017

One of my go-to Mother's Day gifts is a handbag. My mom very rarely buys herself a new handbag so picking one out for her can be pretty easy. I think this perforated Kate Spade handbag is gorgeous and perfect for Spring and Summer. If that's out of your price range, this scalloped tote from BP is really pretty and comes in several colors. If you want to get mom a small bag, this small straw bag by Kate Spade is perfect! If your mom enjoys the beach or the pool, you could get her a new tote like this one by Chateau.

Another great option for mom is a new pair of shoes! Your mom would love these Jack Roger's sandals for Summer. These scalloped edge sandals from Sole Society are also a great choice at a smaller price tag! These Soludos lace up espadrilles are perfect if your mom doesn't need new sandals! These Tory Burch espadrilles will have your mom so excited for Summer!

I also love the idea of getting mom some new beauty products. You can't go wrong with getting mom a gorgeous new lipstick. My favorite luxury lip product is a YSL Rouge Volupte with the gorgeous gold tube! A make up palette like this one from Charlotte Tilbury would also be great for mom. It is an entire face in one palette, which will make getting ready a breeze! If your mom needs to relax more or spend more time on herself, get her some calming bath salts from Herbivore Botanicals!

If you'd rather go with jewelry, this 'heart of gold' bracelet from Kate Spade is perfect for mom. These Kendra Scott earrings are gorgeous and will definitely make a statement.

Lastly, if you'd rather get mom something more unique, you could go with a beautiful new phone case, a Fitbit, or a cute recipe book!

Poppy Flats for Spring

Tuesday, April 18, 2017

I wanted to find some brightly colored ballet flats for Spring and Summer to pair with all of my blue and white clothes! I found these super cute pointed toe d'Orsay flats from Target! They're less than $25 and they are SO cute. They aren't the most comfortable, but their price and style make up for it. The style also comes in tan and black if you prefer neutral colors.

You can shop my look below:

Lust List: J.Crew

Monday, April 10, 2017

Today I am sharing 4 pieces from J.Crew that I'm obsessing over right now. No surprise that 3 of the 4 items are navy and white gingham, right?
