Southern California is probably one of the best places to spend a summer. From Los Angeles to San Diego, there are no shortages of beautiful beaches, delicious restaurants, and fun things to do. I put together this short list of some fun events and activities going on in Southern California this summer, if you have time to do something other than lay on a beach or see a movie outdoors. 😉

📍Del Mar Fairgrounds - Del Mar

June 1st through July 4th (closed Mondays and Tuesdays in June)

Lots of amazing food, rides, exhibits, and concerts by artists like Capital Cities, Hanson, Barenaked Ladies, Little Big Town, Noah Cyrus, and more!

📍Disneyland - Anaheim

Now through September 3rd

Pixar Fest is the celebration going on at Disneyland and DCA this summer in honor of the new Pixar Pier area in DCA! Pixar Pier opens up on June 23rd!

📍Balboa Park - San Diego

June 1st through September 28th

Spend your Friday nights this summer in beautiful Balboa Park in San Diego and eat an amazing array of foods from several San Diego food truck staples!

📍OC Fair & Event Center - Costa Mesa

June 15-17 and August 24-26

A weekend event full of food, music, shopping, art, games, and entertainment.

📍Union Station - Los Angeles

June 16th

LA's first ever Donut Festival, featuring donuts from some of LA's favorite donut shops.

📍Liberty Station - San Diego

June 16th through August 30th

A pop-up experience based all around avocados! Plenty of opportunities for Instagram posts!

📍Griffith Park - Los Angeles

June 22-24

A limited time pop-up art show featuring flowers; there will also be live music and food trucks!

📍Rose Bowl - Pasadena

June 23-24

A full weekend of music and fun, including performances by Neil Young, Kings of Leon, Jack White, Robert Plant, Alanis Moreissette, Belle and Sebastian, and more!

📍San Diego Bay - San Diego

July 4th

This is the largest 4th of July fireworks show in all of Southern California! It's not one to miss!

📍Cooper Design Space - Los Angeles

July 7-8

A festival featuring some of the best desserts in all of LA! The theme of this year's festival is Moon and Stars so you know it's going to be fun!

📍OC Fair & Event Center - Costa Mesa

July 13th through August 12th

If you miss out on the San Diego Fair, you aren't out of luck! You can head into Orange County for another fair full of food, fun, and music!

📍Del Mar Racetrack - Del Mar

July 18th through September 3rd

The horse races in Del Mar are not to be missed. There are also some great concerts during racing season! Don't forget your hat!

📍The Reef - Los Angeles

August 5th

If you love bottomless mimosas and brunch food, this festival is for you! The event also features games, photo opps, and music! (This event is 21+ only.)

📍Fairplex - Pomona

August 31st through September 23rd (closed Mondays and Tuesdays)

End your summer at the Los Angeles County Fair with food, rides, and concerts! The concert lineup hasn't been announced yet but it's usually really good!

📍Del Mar Fairgrounds - Del Mar

September 14-16

This is an amazing music, comedy, and art festival right in San Diego! The music lineup this year is fantastic, including Imagine Dragons, Katy Perry, Halsey, Post Malone, Incubus, and so many more!
